FIM Forcellini Radiatori manufactures two product ranges: radiators and tube stack heat exchangers, each of them having its own field of application and construction techniques as well.
Radiators are air cooled heat exchangers, that are used in industrial field; on the other side tube stack heat exchangers are water cooled, using marine or raw water.
From a technological point of view, the main processes involved in radiators manufacturing are sheet metal cold forming as cutting, folding or press stamping.
In tube stack exchangers are involved metal machining, gravity casting with aluminium, bronze and cast iron, or hot forging.
Both product ranges require many types of weldings, such as the soft-soldering by tin, the oxy-acetylene brazing, the silver soldering, that are mainly performed on copper and copper alloys, or the TIG or MIG arc welding technique with or without welding material, carried out on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
